We had a productive meeting, Monday March 21st with Kyle of Fatbeam (via teleconference) and 10+ community members¹.

Meeting Highlights:

1. Before any construction work starts, Open Country will “rod and rope” the existing conduits to confirm that they can be used. 
   1. Fatbeam/Open Country will advise on the implications of the rodding results and what it means from a construction standpoint (e.g., will additional boring be required)? Residents are concerned about construction and communications about the construction schedule given the previous fiber deployment attempt.
   2. A final plan/map will be created for Waterfront HOA approval.

3. Communications and status updates are critical.
   1. Kyle will provide a weekly update on Fridays on what to expect for the following week (e.g., location of equipment, progress, etc.). This will include the DS team on copy.
   2. In turn, DS will email his report to the HOA members.

Rodding and Roping – Thursday, September 24th at 8:00 AM

Following up on action 1.1 noted above, Open Country (Fatbeam Fiber’s construction contractor) indicates they will be here on Thursday, September 23rd at 8:00 AM to “Rod and Rope”.

What this means is that they will

1. Open the existing access boxes
2. Run a rod with a rope through the conduits to confirm they can be used.

There will be no digging or construction as part of this process.  The intent is to verify the usability of the existing conduits.  This will affect only Single Family Homes, the Westerlies, and the Watergarden.
