Faster, More Reliable Connection to the Internet for the Waterfront Community
Below are posts providing background and updates on the Fatbeam Fiber construction and installation. It is important to note that the agreement with Fatbeam and the Waterfront District HOA allows them to install fiber, conduit, and associated passive components in the common areas of the HOA (the utility easements). This will facilitate service to the individual residences that comprise the WFD community.
As part of that agreement, they will provide service to the Club House at no charge. With that said, each residence in the Waterfront District will have the option, but will not be required, to sign up for service from Fatbeam Fiber.
Fatbeam is a rapidly expanding Idaho-based company with state-of-the-art fiber networks serving commercial, government, and residential customers. They don’t have the overhead of older companies with their copper and coaxial-based legacy networks. We have already seen this in their responsiveness to us as we worked with them to create an agreement that fits the unique needs of the Waterfront District.
This page on their website includes a video of the typical installation process as well as another video showing their application that allows an individual to manage and control their connection.

Open Country will start construction on the fiber network this Wednesday, September 30th, 2026. They aim to complete the boring process this week. Open Country is the utility installer that works with Fatbeam Fiber to install their fiber optic networks. Since last week, Open Country’s representatives have been in the neighborhood marking street and utility easements with water-soluble paint. This signals to existing utilities (water, sewer, gas, electric lines) potential locations of underground fiber ducts. Representatives from those…
